Just recently we posted about a BGR exclusive that reported the PlayBook would be released on April 10th in the U.S.. However just a little bit ago, Pocket-lint posted that in a one to one briefing, with RIM’s UK MD Steven Bates said….
“It’s end of Q1 for the US,” Bates confirmed, dispelling rumours that the US launch had slipped. He then went on to tell us that, “Europe is Q2… The UK will be one of the early ones.”
Now this is better news but does a difference of 10 – 20 days for a release matter to anyone? Granted sooner than later is better in my opinion, but most importantly, I want everything to be working properly and adequate supplies for a smooth launch.
Since a RIM employee has been quoted with making this statement, let's hope an official announcement comes soon from BlackBerry about an official release date. Not only for everyone to know a date but to also eliminate rumors and statements from sources saying I know… I know…. when it's going to be released.
