Galaxy on Fire 2 HD for BlackBerry PlayBook Review.

galaxy on fire 2 hd playbook

I have been playing this game for several weeks and have yet to be disappointed. First thing I love about this game is the storyline and all the little elements of game play. Some games you can play and master in less than a week, but that is not the case with Galaxy on Fire 2 HD.

The graphics are flawless and the  sounds effects really add excitement during game play, yet they do not cause any lag at all on the PlayBook. I am sure the power of the PlayBook has a lot to do with this along with great game coding by the developer.

The story line of the game offers many angles and experiences while playing. Missions are built into the game, but you can visit many planets in several galaxies; hit the lounge and take on your own missions as well. Storyline is set but extra missions are in your control which offers a tons of entertainment for the end user. The complete dashboard offers easy access to mission status, maps, map keys and other game features.

When at space stations you have access to the hanger where you can sell, add items and upgrade items, visit the lounge for some good deals or not so good deals and take on new missions. You can also  acquire blueprints along the way and build you own items for your ship.

I am not sure how much more of the game is left before I get to the end, but after hours of play I am sure I’ve hardly put a dent in it.

A couple of tips I can give about the game  is while drilling asteroids for extra cash with minerals it is extremely hard to keep the drill bit centered up, so hit the main button to end the session to get credit for what you have drilled before it explodes. Do not be in a hurry, use the info buttons often and pay attention to the top of the screen as info shows up during play. Galaxy on Fire 2 HD offers so many elements and challenges as I hope more games for the PlayBook continue to do so…. I added a new Game Tips and Tricks section in the forum so feel free to offer feedback on this game or any others in this area. (Link provided Below)

I have many games on my PlayBook and Galaxy on Fire 2 HD is by far one of my favorites. The price is 9.99 and that is a bargain with all that it has to offer.

Details: Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD is an action-packed 3D open space combat and trading simulation with adventure and RPG elements. Take over the role of the hot-headed space war veteran Keith T. Maxwell and save the galaxy from its impeding destruction by the hands of devious alien raiders, ruthless space pirates and power-crazy madmen! Follow an engrossing story line with more than 10 hours of captivating game play, or head off on an interplanetary journey of your own design. Due to the title’s unique mixture of story-driven, mission-based and sandbox game play, you can turn away from the main story line whenever you want and try your luck as an asteroid farmer, weapons dealer, space explorer, hit man or just about any other intergalactic profession you can think of.

  1. Here are a couple of tips with the game. When starting off some of the controls are a little bit confusing. While in the Shop, you tap on the right side of products to add to your inventory, tapping the left of the product will give your money for that product.
