From our Forums one of our members Leo, set out to find a HDMI docking solution too reduce the amount of cables around his TV and his first version is quite cool looking. He did all of this at a low cost, but maintains a great look and functionality. I look forward seeing how he improves on this in the Mark II version. The Forum link is provided below for a bunch more pictures of the Custom PlayBook Dock with HDMI.
I decide to make a dock stand very simple one, but functional, something that looks good and perform as well.
When the playbook is not in place it looks like a pictures frame and there is build in light too Front illumination back illumination and both. I did want to have a logo on the front but that will come in Mark II. The dock is working as a charger with HDMI to play movies and surf internet form the comfort of my sofa with BT keyboard and mouse, but can be use as alone stand or lay down for easy typing on playbook.
Sadly there is no such thing on the market yet but the cost of my unit will beat it anyway total 10€. and it does have personal touch.
I really like the creativity that went into this, and the functionality it offers. Well done Leo.
