Need for Speed Undercover for PlayBook Updated to v2.2.0

Need for Speed Undercover has been updated to v2.2.0 and now available via app world. No change-log appears to be available; that I could find anyway. The update is large and does take some time to load but the update went fine.  If you notice anything new, please leave a comment in the forum by following the link below. If you removed NFS Undercover you can re-install with the link below via App World.

Free Somyeol Jump and Run Game for BlackBerry PlayBook

Jannik of Brain Connected let us know about their new game called Somyeol Jump and Run.  Somyeol Jump and Run is a 2D Puzzle Platformer, in which you have to rescue the almost extinct species of the Somyeols. Guide them home while controlling multiple Somyeols at once. Somyeol is a mix of Super Mario or Sonic like Jump and Run games and the classic game Lemmings.

The cute little Somyeols live happy and peaceful on their nice green planet Greensland . Things are far from simple ,however, as they are a vulnerable crowd that need plenty of help to reach the rocket so they can find a new planet. The only chance for the Somyeols to live together in happiness and peace is to rebuild a new civilization on the new planet.

Somyeol is a 2D Puzzle Plattformer in which the stranded Somyeols are guided as a team so now one is left behind. Try to get most of the Somyeols to their rocket so they can fly to the new planet. For each saved Somyeol you will get a specific number of points. To win the level you need a minimum score and you´ll get to the next level. The more Somyeols you´ll save the more points you´ll get and that means you´ll climb up in the global online highscore.

Somyeol can be played in 4 different input methods. You can choose between an accelerometer, one finger, touchscreen or the new GameBoy like method.

Fishlabs announces Galaxy on Fire 2 HD for the BlackBerry PlayBook

At the BlackBerry World™ keynote yesterday, Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD was demoed live on stage on the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet. Fishlabs Entertainment plans to release its high-end flagship title for the BlackBerry PlayBook on BlackBerry App World™ at the end of May.

“Thanks to the straight forward developer tools, the solid operating system and the premium quality hardware, it took us only one day to get a first version running on the BlackBerry PlayBook. It also took only three lines of code to implement the full audio features through the audio middleware fmod available on the BlackBerry PlayBook OS,” says Michael Schade, CEO of Fishlabs Entertainment. “We are extremely excited to be releasing our flagship title on the PlayBook at end of this month. Union Games posted on twitter a demo vid that looked really cool and after a quick search on App World, I downloaded the free Frisbee Forever game and had trouble putting it down to do this post. The game offers great control via tilt or gesture and offers  fun game play graphics.

Run In Crowd for BlackBerry PlayBook. Free Multiplayer Game.

My Daughter has been playing this game quite a bit, and the latest update added some cool sound features and other enhancements. I have only played it a few times  and really enjoy the concept of  running and improving my score while in a true Multiplayer environment. I do need to work on my double jump though. lol

“Run In Crowd” is a game where you race alongside other players in a new world each day.

Tap to jump and double-jump. Longer you tap, higher your runner jumps. Avoid obstacles and try to run longer distance than other.
