New 3D Content Pack Available for BlackBerry PlayBook Scrapbook App

The free Scrapbook app created by The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) was last updated content packs back in January I think with some cool features and functions and now they have added a cool 3D content pack to add.

Download of the pack is easy. Simply open up the Scrapbook app and choose the bottom tab for packs and you will see  the option to download the 3D download option. The download happens within the app without any problems at all.

  • Create Scrapbooks from wallpapers, photos and stickers with playful multi-touch gestures
  • Save your creations or share them on your Facebook wall
  • Browse your saved and sent Scrapbooks from a cool “clothes line” list
  • Create, share and enjoy!

WordPress for BlackBerry PlayBook is one of my popular apps to use, and does come in handy for anyone with a WordPress blog for sure. This latest update does not include a change-log that I could find, but I have noticed quite a few improvements with this update.

Free Compose Email App for BlackBerry Playbook. Simple way to Type up Emails

Will R. let us know he has released his Free Compose Email App for the PlayBook. Compose Email is free and quite easy to use for typing up an email. This app is a simple and quick way to compose emails then send them to the Messages app. The key feature is that it supports the Portrait orientation and keyboard, which the Messages app does not. I have used this a few times already and really like the simple yet effective solutions of the application.

Free Google Search App with Predictive Text for PlayBook by BlitzMobile

I for one am really glad to see an app like this come available. At times using the Google website from the PlayBook to do a search, can be frustrating with the keyboard randomly closing sometimes and other issues. This app simplifies the entire process. Maybe in a future release additional backgrounds can be made available, but the app is free and works great.

Details: This app is quite simple but very useful. If anyone has used the main Google search site from your BlackBerry® PlayBook™ probably has experienced how the keyboard opens and closes while doing a search and the screen tends to jump around.

This Google Search app offers a simple solution and predictive text. Searching from the app will open the browser with your search results. The Google search app will stay open allowing you easy access to the Google search box.

Most everyone has used Wikipedia at some point and time, and for those that do, you will be glad to hear that an official Wikipedia app has been released for the PlayBook. This app offers some useful features, that makes for easy use and navigation.
